About the Opportunity

We are looking for dedicated Cleaners to ensure our museum and gallery spaces remain pristine and inviting. You will be part of a small, collaborative team providing high-standard cleaning services across our portfolio.

We are recruiting for two positions: one full-time and one part-time.

Selection Criteria 1: Experience in cleaning in large places, including making work schedules and ordering supplies.*

Selection Criteria 2: Ability to work well in a small team for cleaning a Museum and Art Gallery.*

Selection Criteria 3: Physical ability to do cleaning tasks and use cleaning tools, following safe practices.*

Selection Criteria 4: Ability to show initiative, reliability, and punctuality, and to keep things confidential while being a good team member.*

Selection Criteria 5: Understanding of hygiene, infection control, and workplace health and safety (WHS) principles.*

Selection Criteria 6: Ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks with little supervision.*

Selection Criteria 7: Willingness and ability to work on a rotating seven-day schedule, starting at 06:00 Monday to Friday, and at 08:00 on weekends and public holidays.*

Selection Criteria 8: Good verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly and accurately discuss various matters that may arise.*

Selection Criteria 9: Basic computer skills to use programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.*

Desirable 1: Work with other cleaners, and cover for others on leave. Ability to show and explain the different cleaning routines needed for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.*

Desirable 2: Help and guide outside workers, like those who service sanitary bins, to the places where they need to work.*

Desirable 3: First Aid qualification or the ability to obtain.*

Desirable 4: Working with Children Clearance (Ochre card) or the ability to obtain.*

Desirable 5: A valid Northern Territory Driver’s License*
